The Brief
This has to be one of our favourite bathroom projects to date. Mrs X visited us at our warehouse looking for a material for her new bathroom, having struggled with her existing one for far too long. She wanted to make her dream bathroom a reality, and as soon as she saw the Corestone Patagonia Tiffany, her mind was made up.
Why This Material?
Mrs X’s biggest frustration with her old bathroom was the limestone tiles. The grout lines were a constant challenge to keep clean, acting almost like a sponge and harbouring grime over time. Our ceramic range was the natural solution, non-porous, low maintenance, and completely free of grout lines.
Once the material and colourway were confirmed, we introduced her to one of the most unique features of our ceramic range: the ability to bookmatch in four ways, creating a truly one-of-a-kind statement.
The Result
From the moment you step into the room, the feature wall commands attention. The four-way bookmatch technique creates a perfectly mirrored composition, turning the natural veining of the stone into a work of art.
The symmetrical pattern feels almost like a Rorschach inkblot, organic, dramatic, and impossible to ignore. Each slab flows seamlessly into the next, forming a bold centrepiece that redefines what a bathroom can be.
The fabricators who handled the templating, cutting, and installation deserve enormous credit, their craftsmanship took the project beyond even what we had imagined.
