Please remember though that the samples sent by post are quite small and therefore it is difficult to envisage what a whole slab of veined or patterned material will look like from them.

Yes, Corestone place the highest emphasis on ensuring that each batch produced matches the previous batch as well as possible. They can also provide matching window cills and other items.

A standard slab measures 3m x 1.4m and most are available in the jumbo sized 3.2m x 1.6m size.

Corestone’s Facebook page have pictures of installations where the veins on the splashback flow down, across the horizontal worktop and the down the side of the unit. It does use more material but the result looks stunning.

As standard, the worktops are either 20mm or 30mm thick.

We recommend 30mm especially if you are fitting induction hobs or have a breakfast bar or overhang in your design. It also looks more aesthetically pleasing! Normally any upstands or splashbacks would be made in 20mm material but it is your choice.
